Who we are.

Steadfast Recovery Ministries is a faith-based recovery program helping men break free from addiction and step into a purposeful life.

We believe sobriety is just the beginning. Real transformation happens when a man discovers who he is in Christ, reconnects with his family, and learns to live in his community with integrity and accountability.

At Steadfast, we don’t just help men get sober; we walk with them as they step into the fullness of who they were created to be.

Our Program

Steadfast offers a structured sober living program, rooted in spiritual discipleship and practical life changes. Men live together in a Christ-centered environment where they are challenged, supported, and surrounded by others pursuing the same goal: to live an abundant and purposeful life, just as Christ has called us to.

Key components of the program include:

  • 6 - 12 MONTH DURATION

From day one, each resident is set on a path toward success and is met with grace as they take steps forward. Our goal is to see every man feeling fully equipped to thrive when he is ready to leave our care - spiritually, emotionally, and practically.

  • FOUR WEEKLY HOUSE MEETINGS
Designed to break down walls, build trust, and foster deep accountability - this is where raw honesty meets real growth. Our meetings look like this -

    • House Meeting

      • This is a time for the men to check in with each other.

    • House Church

      • a space to have open conversations about themselves, questions about God, and prayer requests.

    • Community Dinner + AA / NA Meeting

      • A community who breaks bread together is a community unified. We welcome friends of Steadfast to join us during our weekly house dinner, followed by a meeting.

    • Saturday Morning AA / NA Meeting

  • A STRONG, SUPPORTIVE BROTHERHOOD
Residents live, work, and grow alongside one another—learning what it means to live abundantly in sobriety and in service to others.

  • SUPPORTIVE COMMUNITY
Volunteers regularly pour into our men—sharing skills, praying, mentoring, and walking with them in practical and spiritual growth.

  • JOB PLACEMENT

We’re partnered with fantastic companies across the Charleston region to provide job placement to our residents.

  • COUNSELING SERVICES

We believe therapy plays a vital role in the journey to long-term healing. That’s why we provide individual and group counseling for our residents, along with family, marital, and child therapy—all at no cost. Addiction affects the whole family, and we’re committed to supporting each member on their journey to recovery.

At Steadfast Recovery Ministries, we apply the principle of the three-legged stool:

God, Self, and Others

Remove one leg, and everything collapses. By focusing on God, self, and others, we begin to follow routines and create habits that promote a healthy, structured way of living. This simple but powerful principle guides our belief that regenerating our life is possible and takes movement in all three areas - faith in our Creator, our identity, and deep connection with others.

To support this way of life, we are anchored by five values that shape our culture, guide our decisions, and define our community.

Our Approach

Our Core Values

CHRIST-CENTERED

We believe God is the foundation of all life and only through Him we will be restored to the person we are called to be.

FAMILY

Being surrounded by a community who loves and supports you is key to living a good life. We aren’t meant to live alone.

SELF WORTH

We can’t pour from an empty cup. Before we can give to others, we must give to ourselves. We are created in His image, which makes us all infinitely valuable.

ACCOUNTABILITY

There is power in the choice to take control of our life. We can choose to accept, forgive, and change.

INTEGRITY

By living with honesty and integrity, we will not only earn the respect and trust of those around us, but ourselves as well..

Together, the three-legged stool principle gives us our framework, and our values give us the heart to implement it.

Why we’re here.

At Steadfast Recovery Ministries, we believe in regeneration over rehabilitation.

To rehabilitate means to return to a former state.

To regenerate means to make something new.

We don’t believe in going back. We believe in moving forward. Through Christ, all things are made new.

We also know first hand - addiction doesn’t just affect individuals. It impacts entire families. That’s why our mission goes beyond helping men break free from the bonds of addiction. We exist to see lives completely transformed, families restored, and communities strengthened through lasting change.

True transformation is possible and it’s the driving force behind everything we do.

This is the Brock family.

The story of Steadfast Recovery Ministries began in the midst of deep brokenness. In August 2021, Clay’s struggle with addiction came to light, setting him and Lauren on a path of unimaginable challenges—but also extraordinary transformation.

After multiple short-term rehab attempts and 16 months in a long-term, faith-based recovery program, their lives had taken a new shape and they experienced lasting transformation individually and in their marriage. Through the grace of God and countless miracles, the Brocks found themselves in Charleston, South Carolina, preparing to welcome their son, Elliott, and start a new chapter.

As Clay and Lauren experienced personal healing and restoration, they began to feel a strong calling: the lessons and hope they had found were not meant to be kept to themselves but needed to be shared with other people like them. They also saw a need in the Lowcountry for a Christ-centered, culturally relevant recovery program that focused on the whole person—and the entire family.

In 2024, that calling became a reality. Steadfast Recovery Ministries was born—built on biblical truth, proven recovery principles, and the unwavering belief that regeneration is possible through Christ.

“Steadfast Recovery Ministries is founded on a testimony that proves He turns graves into gardens. True restoration is possible. We know because we’ve lived it. If we can do it, anyone can.” - Clay and Lauren Brock
